Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific Airways
A few of my favourite things to do in Hong Kong include visiting the temples, indulging in the mouth-watering cuisine and of course, picking up some floral inspiration at the vibrant Flower Market overflowing with so many blooms.Instead of travelling behind the lens as a photographer, I discovered a new way of capturing these memories in our latest collaboration with Cathay Pacific through the sense of smell: the number one sense closest linked to memory.
Hong Kong is a sensory overload and through the concept of scent we created three short films encapsulating the base, top and heart notes of this unique city’s scents and fragrance for #ParfumsdeVoyage.
Base Notes
Man Mo Temple is one of the oldest temples in Hong Kong. Constructed in 1847, it was built for worshipping the God of Literature and God of Martial Art. Once you enter you’ll experience a traditional interior, bold lavish accents and incense spirals overhead bringing the earthy scent as you wander throughout.

Top Notes
When travelling to Hong Kong, you can’t miss out on treating your taste-buds also! Hot pot is a communal eating experience invented in Eastern Asia. Our friends at The Drunken Pot had just opened up a new location in Causeway Bay for us to experience our first hot pot with matching teas overlooking incredible views of the city. In the centre of the table is a large simmering pot of broth where ingredients are placed into the pot and cooked right in front of you. We were spoilt with beef, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and tofu.Tip: Book a table beside the window for a sunset dinner.

Heart Notes
No matter how many times I travel back to Hong Kong I always make time to pop by Flower Market Road. The vibrant colours and floral scents are always a delight to experience, whether I’m picking up a bunch or just looking to spark some creative ideas surrounded by beautiful blooms, lush greenery and a coffee fix at one of my favourite cute cafe’s on the strip: Cafe Hay Fever.
